Ben Davies B.A. CFP®
Born and raised in the Comox Valley, I like to spend time on my hobby farm with my better half, Josée, Tegan (our Neopolitan Mastiff), Jack (our Great Dane) and Julius (our orange tabby). We enjoy kayaking, snowshoeing, hockey, soccer, camping, gardening and travel. I completed my degree in medieval history and philosophy at the University of Victoria in 1994 and started my career in financial services in 1996. In 2003, I fulfilled my goal of opening my own independent financial planning firm which allowed me to provide high-level, personalized service with great attention to detail as well as implement a fee-based system which I feel serves my clients better than the traditional commission model.
Pauline Williamson
I handle all office administration, event planning and client services. I enjoy being part of the team and I love dealing with our clients – they’re such a good bunch! I spent many years in the Royal Navy and bring a sense of military precision and organization to the office. In 2006, I emigrated to Canada from the UK with my husband Steve, a talented wildlife photographer. We live on our acreage under the shadow of Forbidden Plateau with our Border Collie, Badger. I enjoy gardening, travel, walking and swimming.
Cynthia Davies B.Ed, M. Ed.
In 1967, Martin and I emigrated from the UK to the Comox Valley where I pursued a career as a teacher / counsellor for 32 years. My work at the office includes representing the client point of view at staff meetings, event planning and coordination of some activities. In addition, I assist with the development of office processes and I’m involved with the Client Advisory Council. After I retired in 1999, I became involved in charity and volunteer work and I serve on the board of directors for both St. Joseph’s Hospital and African Community Technical Services. In my spare time, I enjoy church activities, kayaking, reading, walking and travel with Martin.
Client Advisory Council
Our Client Advisory Council consists of four clients of varying ages. We meet regularly to obtain feed-back on the running of the business, to generate ideas on new projects and initiatives for the future and to review ways in which we can improve. These clients provide invaluable feedback and we’re lucky to have them volunteer their time. To meet the Client Advisory Council (past and present), please visit them here.
